Order DSL

Like any advanced technology, DSL requires specific equipment and conditions to function. In addition to the hardware required by the telephone companies and an Ethernet card, your personal PC must meet some minimum requirements, as well. These minimums are detailed here. Fortunately, they are not stringent and should be met by most computers today.

The following guidelines are the minimum configuration specifications for PCs, Apple Macintosh and Linux computers to use DSL service. More memory and faster CPU speed will enhance your computer's performance.

Debian, Mandrake, RedHat, Slackware, Suse, Ubuntu or any other modern distribution
486/25SX; 16MB RAM; Ethernet adapter (or free PCI slot for the adapter)
